Everyone loves to get a new Apple Update, bugs are fixed and new features are released. But that’s that not everything, your iPhone is also blazing fast. I’ve noticed throughout the updates to my 3G phone. I mean granted with the latest release of 2.1 that improved the speed of the phone in general, better battery life and 3G reception. A fresh restore always seemed lovely, and quite speedy.
You then think you yourself, like any tech lover. Jailbreak. Why? Because there is so many applications that Apple either doesn’t allow or hasn’t released yet. So you Jailbreak and get your famous Pinapple using Quickpwn. Install a bunch of applications and then you install one of the most popular ones “Winterboard”. You download some themes, and icon packs and get your iPhone styled to your liking. You starting using your newly Jailbroken and Winterboarded iPhone, and start falling in love with the stronger Flashlight and Cycorder.
But wait. You suddenly feelthat your iPhone is running a tad slow after using someones non-Jailbroken phone. I mean it takes a long time to open up notes, text, phone and even the keyboard. Some applications take ages, even unlock your phone takes sometime. What could it be?
Well, try removing “Winterboard”. I have and can already see the difference. I had done it once before and never really noticed the difference until apple released Firmware 2.1. But now, I’m glad I did. I do miss my themes, but in reality I use the phone more for the applications than the look and feel. Just a heads up if you want to speed up your phone!
