Fring was released to the App Store October 1st, this review, I know I’m a little late but better late than never. The following are some of the features of Fring:
• VoIP (Voice) Calls over WiFi
• Instant Messaging
• Integrated dynamic contact list
with real-time contact availability
• SIP integration
• Multiple Connection types
Fring allows you to login to mutiple accounts at a time. When you login to Skype you will then be able to make calls to other Skype users or make phone calls if you pay for this service with Skype. You can also use SIP to make phone calls as well, I don’t know if any SIP providers that advertise this server. I checked Vonage and they didn’t have any such support, I Googled and then gave up.
Anyways, this application is awesome. It’s the only application that provides Skype and SIP VOIP. Here are some screenshots and videos.
