Missed Calls On Rogers And Fido’s 3G Network
Tags: calls, dropped, fido, missed, network, Rogers
Me and my co-worker both have an iPhone. However, I’m on Rogers and hes on Fido. For the longest time he has been getting issues with not being able to receive calls. It’s not spoaratic, its either he gets calls or calls go straight to voicemail. He can usually fix it by turning off 3G or turning airplane mode on and then off.
However, I am now getting the same problem. Except I can still recevie some calls, I don’t need to do anything to my phone. This isn’t an isolate incident, nor is it a iPhone specific problem. It’s a Rogers and Fido 3G network issue. There are currently lots of customers having the same issue.
Here’s a couple of blogs that have reported the issue, and you can see by the comments how many people are having the issue. I hope this makes the news, because at the moment Rogers and Fido’s 3G network are completely unreliable.
Rogers + iPhone + 3G = missed and dropped calls
iPhone 3G on Rogers/Fido = Missed Calls on 3G Network

This happens to all the time. Rogers needs to clamp it down and FIX IT!
…FIX IT!
I haven’t had a dropped call in a while. I’m still on the 2.1 firmware.
