iPhone Firmware 2.2 SDK Supports TV Out

If you haven’t already heard, the new SDK for firmware 2.2 has a new class MPTVOutWindow that allows you to output the iPhone display to a TV. Originally this wasn’t available to developers, but now it has been released. There has already been a video released with a working demo of Moto Chaser being played on a TV. Here it is.

Now some would think, wow that’s pretty cool now I can play games on my TV. Well what if you could play Doom on your TV using your iPhone, well its in the works.

No one has mentioned, how to get the cable and I thought it might be a hack job. But it looks like you can buy the iPod AV Cable online through the Apple Store for $39.99

I really hate Chris Prillo, and by hate, I find him really annoying. I don’t know why, but some of my friends share the same opinion. In any case, his video’s content is good just his choosen words and voice is annoying. Anyways, heres a video of the AV Cable in action.
