New Web Browsers In AppStore Based On Webkit

Some people might have heard through the rumour mill that Apple is accepting alternative Safari browsers into the AppStore. When in fact, the browsers Edge Browser, Incognito, WebMate and Shaking Web are all based Webkit which Safari is also based on. So in reality there is nothing new about these browsers, they’re still Safari but with a different look, feel or function. News worthy yes, consider Shaking Web will assist you when you’re in a vehicle like a bus by shaking the screen in the opposite direction so your eyes don’t loose focus. Other browsers like Opera or FireFox based which are based on their own Engine and not Webkit, may be far away or just a dream that will never come true if Apple see’s fit to dis-allow them in the AppStore. However Cydia is still a viable option, so who knows. Here are some screenshots of the applications.
