iPhone 4 User Reported Screen Defect and Possible Reception Bug?

So there are a bunch of people that just got their brand new iPhone 4 in the mail early! Congrats! I’m so Jealous, nothing like new hardware to brighten the next couple of weeks. Back on topic. Some people are reporting issues with the Retina Display showing a yellowish/brownish haze on the bottom. Here’s a screenshot from Apple Insider

As you can see, it looks kinda strange and not really something that you expect when shelling out some decent coin. Or rather renewing your contract and shelling out half the coin of a full priced phone $699 CAD for us Canadians. Supposedly the same issue occurred with the early adopters of the iPhone 3G, which Apple later confirmed that it was a decision to have the color tint. So we shall see what the outcome will be after everyone gets their iPhone 4 and if you can return it for a none yellowish/brownish lower right hand corner.

While we’re still talking about defects, remember how the iPhone 4 Antenna was around the case. Well it looks like people have had issues with holding the iPhone 4 in a certain way that changes how many bars are displayed. Although they’re still able to make calls, some even touch both fingers on the outside casing and the bars will start showing a lower signal. Apple has stated this is a bug and will be fixed.

You can read the full article at Apple Insider.

UPDATE #1: A user by the name of austingaijin on the ApplieInsider forum who pitched the bonding agent to Apple. Says that FoxConn has been producing the phones so fast that the bonding agent hasn’t had a chance to evaporate properly. He says this is what’s causing the haze and it should eventually fade away with more use of the phone. You can read the article on the AppleInsider website here.

iPhone 4 back collects minor scratches

I don’t know if this is a defect or just because people are being a little rough with their new iPhone 4. But new adopters are reporting that the back of the iPhone 4 is show signs of little scratches. Here is an image care of Apple Insider.

Granted, its not that bad since its only the back. But I’m sure lots of people are not too happy that this is happening to a very expensive device already. More information at Apple Insider, Engadget and iPhone in Canada.
