Welcome to iPhone Newbs! This site is dedicated to providing news and information on Apple’s iPhone. Typical vistors are those that have just purchased an iPhone, or have had their iPhone for some time. No matter the case, they’re in search of information and news related to one of Apples biggest products since the iPod.

I bought my phone at the end of July 2008 from Rogers Wireless with a 6GB data plan. Since then I have Jail Broken it, and installed many third party applications through Cydia that are not availabe in the AppStore.  I also use Hosted Exchange because I own mostly Windows PC’s, and it has been working for me quite well. I really do love my iPhone……

But, I’m am not a fanboy. I also love linux, and opensource software. I’m not a fanboy in any area, I’m actually quite the opposite. And really enjoy new ideas and gadgets. And am always willing to give something a try, even though other people think its terrible. I like to experience the the ideas and inventions of others myself.

I created iPhone Newbs because I purchased the iPhone 3G and didn’t know much about Apple’s smart phone. Upon scouring the net, I noticed that it was hard to find the right answers to my questions. Along my journey of trying to find out every tidbit of information available about the iPhone. I noticed that most sites were lacking in some fashion. Most of the sites just seemed to have content that was re-blog’d or re-posted, and the design and flow of the site made it impossible to read the articles. Then you had the advertisements, that flooded the page and didn’t intergrate properly.

But enough bashing ;D There are still some good sites out there. Like appleiphoneschool.com which is run by a couple that both seem to update their site quite regularly.
